Yola Sundin, 88, of Webster City, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Stratford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Bob Henkelman officiating. Burial will be in McGuire Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Yola Wave Ford, daughter of James and Viola Curtis Ford, was born October 29, 1924 in Lehigh, Iowa. She received her education in Lehigh and Webster City. On August 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to James Morgan Jr. in Kansas City, KS. The couple resided in Baltimore, MD. The couple later divorced. On September 28, 1957, she was united in marriage to Wendell Sundin in Northwood, IA. The couple resided in Webster City. She was a housekeeper at the Flamingo Hotel and worked at Browns café. Wendell preceded her in death on January 10, 2005. She resided at the Stratford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since 2011. Yola is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Larry) Hoversten of Fort Dodge and Donna Capsel of Webster City; brothers, Perry Ford, Royce Ford; half-brother, Ronald Elliot; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-sons, Donald (Kathy) Sundin, Howard (Mary) Sundin and Leroy Sundin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son, James Morgan III, a step-daughter, JoAnn Sundin; a granddaughter, two brothers, Stanley Ford and James Ford; and a sister, Sharon Hoshall. Yola's strong faith in God was an inspiration to everyone she knew. She loved everyone like family.
