William Wilson

Edwin Wilson, 90, of Webster City, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living in Webster City. A Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center until 11:00 a.m. when a graveside ceremony will be conducted at Graceland Cemetery. William Edwin Wilson son of Edwin and Ethel Shields Wilson was born on October 13, 1920 in Webster City. He received his education in the Williams area rural schools. On March 16, 1941, he married Carlene Francis Boozell. The couple farmed in the Williams area. Carlene died on February 9, 1969. On March 17, 1973, he married Garnet M. Jacobson. The couple continued farming. Garnet died on July 7, 1975. Edwin had been residing at Crestview Senior Living since April of 2007. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Amundson of Webster City; sons, Dwayne (Lois) Wilson also of Webster City; Keith (Bev) Wilson of Polk City; 2 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wives Carlene and Garnet, he was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and his son-in-law, Jerry Amundson.
