Walter Treibel

Walter A. Treibel, 85, of Webster City, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Doug White officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Wisconsin. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Walter August Treibel, son of Walter and Marie Glawe Treibel, was born August 3, 1925 at Wausau, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Wausau high school. On September 2, 1950, he married Cecelia Helen Conrad at Pine City, MN. The couple resided at Wausau until 1990 when they moved to an acreage north of Duncombe. In 1997, they moved to Webster City. He was a draftsman for Drott Manufacturing In Wausau, WI. He retired at the age of 59. Walter is survived byhis wife, Cecela; sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Patti Treibel of Webster City; Stephen Treibel of Indianapolis, IN; 6 grandchildren and brother, Elroy Treibel of New Holland, PA He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Luverne Treibel.
