Wallace "Wally" Jensen, 92, of Webster City, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Crestview Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel, with Revs. Mike Kroona and Tony Ede officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center two hours before the service on Thursday. Wallace William Jensen, son of Elias and Elizabeth Woods Jensen, was born April 30, 1920 on a farm in Fremont Township, northwest of Webster City. He attended the Fremont Township # 4 rural school. He started farming with his father and brothers. On December 12, 1942, he married Barbara Ann Stein at Webster City. The couple farmed southwest of Webster City. He later retired from farming and started in construction work at Des Moines, Fort Dodge and Webster City. He had also been employed at Lehigh Tile and Morton Frozen Foods. Mrs. Jensen died November 14, 2002. Wally continued to reside in Webster City. The past two years he has lived at Crestview Senior Living. Wally is survived by sons and daughters, Roger (Glenna) Jensen of Bella Vista, AR; Cynthia Newman of Fort Dodge; Janice (Elmer) Kunz of State Center; Keith Jensen, Dale Jensen and Christine Elliott, all of Webster City; eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wallace William Jensen, Jr.; brother, Weldon; twin brother, Woodrow; sisters, Helen Jensen, Mary Anderson and Anna Stapp; nephew, Richard Stapp and niece, Connie Jensen. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, former member of Washington Lutheran Church at Duncombe and the Webster City Moose Family Center.
