Thelma Quick, 92, of Webster City, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Patrick Wiedemeir officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Thelma Nevada Whitehead, daughter of Thomas and Georgia Patterson Whitehead, was born March 23, 1920 at Spur, Texas. She had received her education at Delhart, Texas. 0n November 28, 1945, she married Kenneth Charles Quick at Amarillo, Texas, following his discharge from the military. They moved to Nebraska, then in 1946, they moved to Webster City where Kenny was employed at Peoples Natural Gas. Thelma had been employed at Iowa Miss and Mrs. for ten years. They retired in 1982. Mr. Quick died June 7, 2011. She had resided at Crestview since September of 2012. Mrs. Quick is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jan Quick of Tucson, AZ; Steven and Audrey Quick of Topeka, KS; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jim Downs of Webster City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mattie Horner, Lorena Vaught, Eddie Hill and Bertha Cochran; brothers, Clarence, Jack and J.E. Whitehead.
