Roland Kunz

Roland E. Kunz, 76, of Webster City, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at his home. A Memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at The Bridge. Burial will be in the St. Jacob's Catholic Cemetery at Graettinger. Roland Elmer Kunz, son of Elmer and Irene Waters Kunz, was born March 17, 1937 at Mallard. He received his education at Graettinger. On December 7, 1964 he was united in marriage to Judy Kay Smith in Illinois. Roland was trucker and worked for Ron Hemmen, White Transfer, C&K and McCollough Bros. He is survived by his children, Brenda (Mark) Galbraith, Wendy Biggs and; his children, later adopted by his sister, Bev; Dale Struyk, Jeffrey Struyk and Lanie (Keith) Wingert; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leo Kunz of Lehigh; Leonard (Roberta) Kunz of Iowa City; Charlene Worrick, Kay Paulson, Marilyn (Kenneth) Kepler, Beverly (Lark) Asklund, all of Webster City; Allen Kunz of Blairsburg; Elmer (Janice) Kunz of State Center; Alvin (Donna) Kunz of Wallingford; Karen (Joseph) Credit of Fort Dodge; several nieces and nephews. Roland was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cynthia Jessen; brothers, Darold Kunz, Larry Kunz and Harry Dean Kunz, in infancy. He was a former manager of the Webster City Farmers Market and a past member of Moose Family Center.
