Roger McCoy, 66, of Webster City, died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fosters on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with rosary and scripture service at 6:45 p.m. Roger Lee McCoy, son of Gerald and Alice (Desher) McCoy, was born November 5, 1946 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City high school in 1965. He entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He attended trade school in Des Moines where he became a master plumber. In October 1969, he was united in marriage to Kathy Brockman at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. Roger worked as a plumber in Des Moines and Fort Dodge, before starting his own business, Webster City Plumbing. In 2008, he retired from the Woodard Academy. He is survived by his children, Chad (Camy) McCoy and Stacy (Dave) Hagedorn, all of Webster City; Tanner McCoy of Des Moines; grandchildren, Zach, Jacob, Claire, Brock, Halle, Adison, Hayden and Luke; mother, Alice McCoy of Webster City; brothers and sister-in-law, Ron (Carolyn) McCoy and Bob McCoy, all of Webster City; sisters and brother-in-law, Karen (Jerry) Peterson and Jan McCoy, all of Webster City; Sue (Jennifer) McCoy of Sioux City; many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his father. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He belonged to the Union Plumbers and Steamfitters, the VFW in Fort Dodge and the American Legion Post #191. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, hunting, golfing, playing cards, Nascar and camping.
