Norville E. Anderson, 85, of Clarion died Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Holmes Baptist Church, with Pastors Douglas Love and Pat Nemmers officiating. Burial will be in the Clarion Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Norville Elmer Anderson, son of Charles and Anna Thompson Anderson, was born October 17, 1925 on the family farm in Wright county. He received his education in rural schools in Wright county. On January 25, 1948, he married Mildred Mae Heidick at Fort Dodge. The couple farmed south of Clarion for 63 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Mildred; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Cindy Anderson of North English; Norm and Karen Anderson of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tom Schroder of Clarion; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Busick of Clarion; Arlene Smith of St. Cloud, MN; Ruth Lamfers of Salina, KS; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Delger, Gladys Spainhower, Julia Swenson and Myllie Smit; brothers, George, Chuck, Alvin and Roger Anderson.
