Naomi Klaver, 99, of Webster City, died Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Naomi Kathryn Johnson, daughter of Peter and Sallie Monroe Johnson was born on October 9, 1911 in Jewell, Iowa. She received her education from a Jewell area rural school and graduated from Jewell High School in 1929. On November 19, 1930, she married Philip Klaver, Jr. in Kamrar. The couple farmed in the Kamrar, Jewell and Webster City areas until retiring in 1976, when they moved to Webster City. Mr. Klaver died on September 9, 1985. Survivors include her sons, Philip (Ginger) Klaver III of Norman, OK; Robert (Ruth) Klaver of Payson, AZ; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Philip, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Beulah Klaver; granddaughter, Gayle Long; great grandson, Joshua Klaver; brothers, Maurice Johnson and Leigh Johnson; sisters, Edna Thompson, Mary Bentley, Myrtle Flygstad, Pearl Valde, Esther Jones, Iola Carr, and Lois Voss.
