Nadine Dingman, 78, of Webster City, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday prior to the service. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Nadine Faye Lunning, daughter of Ole and Amanda Amundson Lunning, was born January 24, 1932 on the Lunning farm in Lincoln Township near Radcliffe. She attended Lincoln # 7 rural school and graduated from Radcliffe Public School in 1949. She had been a resident of Webster City for 60 years. She had been employed at J.C. Penneys, Hotel Willson, Art Halverson (attorney), Montgomery Ward and worked 23 years with Webster City Iron and Metal. On November 14, 1952, she married Duane M. Dingman and they resided at 1623 Sparboe Court for 51 years. Mrs. Dingman is survived by her husband, Duane; daughter, Cherrie Miller of Overland Park, Kansas and son, Michael Dingman of Webster City and two grandchildren, Jason and Teresa Dingman. Through the love of history and genealogy, she helped many others find their origins and locate loved ones. She and her husband, Duane, enjoyed many research trips. Through these trips they formed and made many friends that stayed in contact throughout the years. She also loved flowers and gardening. The love of her life are her two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ona Harvey; 3 brothers, Bernice, Atlee and Keith Lunning; others include James and Willis Harvey and Phyliss Tucker. Nadine was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church, was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran and the Ladies Aid. She followed her passion for the love of family through genealogy. She was active in the Hamilton Heritage Hunters Genealogical Society and several other societies. She was active in the Hamilton County Historical Society and Friends of the Library. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kendall Young Library and Hamilton County Hospice/Respite.
