Marilyn L. Schutt, 88, of Woolstock, IA died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Southfield Wellness Community. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August, 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at French Cemetery in Woolstock. Marilyn Lorriane Etter, daughter of Elmer and Marie (LeQuesne) Etter, was born December 26, 1924 on the family farm in Liberty Township, Hamilton County, Iowa. She received her education in Williams and Blairsburg Schools, graduating in 1942. On January 18, 1944, she was united in marriage to Ilo Warren Schutt in Lake City, Iowa. She was confirmed and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Woolstock. She was an avid reader, liked to watch golf, and was known for her stain glass work, most of all she enjoyed time with her grandsons and their families. The couple have resided in Woolstock for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Ester "Kid" Hoversten; and brothers, Vilton "Val" Etter, Darrell Etter and B.E. "Bud" Etter. Gratefully having shared her life are her husband of 69 years, Ilo of Woolstock; daughter, Marlo (Michael A.) Bogh of Huron, SD; grandsons, Dean (Peggy), Marc (Angie) and Alex Taylor of Pierre, SD and Sean (Stephanie) Taylor of Huron, SD; step-grandson, Michael L. (Jennifer) Bogh of Huron, SD; great-grandchildren, Gage, Matison, Lauden, Spenser, Jacoby, Kayla, Tanir, Parker, Kenzington and baby due December 25, 2013; step-great-grandchildren, Allen, Jayden, and Monte Bogh; sister, Dawn Carter of Flintstone, GA; several nieces and nephews; special nephew Raymond Schutt and friend Karen Gaunt and special niece Charlene (Bill) Johanssen.
