Luella F. Doolittle, 88, of Webster City, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Fosters. Luella Fern Scott, daughter of Clarence and Nellie Kent Scott was born on May 5, 1923 in Webster City. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1942. Luella then attended De Lyle's Beauty Academy in Fairmont, MN. graduating in 1944. On November 21, 1946, she married Dwight C. Doolittle at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. She had worked for several years at Dr. Schrader's office and Dr. Kuramoto's office both in Webster City. Luella was a volunteer for both the RSVP and the Hamilton Hospital auxiliary gift shop. She belonged to Women of the Moose and was past senior regent. Mr. Doolittle died on March 29, 2007. Luella had been residing at Crestview Senior Living since April of 2010. Survivors include her daughters, Dianna (Gary) Anderson of Jewell; Mary Kay (Randy) Kent of Auburn; son-in-law, Roxy Wilson of West Des Moines; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mildred Scott of Webster City; Betty Scott of Fort Dodge; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Dwight, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Wilson; brothers, Bud Ober, Don and Raymond Scott; sister, Charlotte Richey; and her parents. Luella was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.
