Louise Fischer, 88, of Webster City, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Graceland Cemetery, with Rev. Tony Ede officiating. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday until 10:45 a.m. Louise Irene Winn, daughter of Harry and Irene Williams Winn, was born April 22, 1923 at Correctionville, Iowa. As a young child, Louise moved to Webster City where she attended the public schools graduating from Lincoln High School in 1941. She married Ernest Frederick Fischer, her high school sweetheart, on February 22, 1942. They operated Fischer's Fine Quality Meats until Ernie's retirement in 1970. As his health failed, Louise became his devoted caregiver. Ernie died June 12, 1996. She had resided at Crestview for 9 years. Louise is survived by her daughter, Linda Fischer of Webster City and son, David Fischer of Cedar Falls. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving in various church circles and singing in the choir. She was also a member of Chapter JE, PEO.
