Linda J. Ihle, 73, of Webster City, died Wednesday, May 10, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverends Mike Kroona and Tony Ede officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Linda Jeanine Abbott daughter of Cadell (Dutch) and Louise Trailor Abbott was born on December 27, 1936 in Sullivan, Illinois. She received her education and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1954. On April 13, 1958 she married Norman Ihle at the Church of Christ in Webster City. Linda worked as a telephone operator for North Western Bell in Webster City for over 5 years. The couple then owned and operated Variety Auto Sales in Webster City where she had worked for over 40+ years. Survivors include her husband of over 52 years, Norman; sons, Rick (Jenny) Ihle of Webster City; Tracy (Marlene) Ihle of Plymouth, MN; Chad (Stacey) Ihle of Maple Grove, MN; daughters, Lisa (John) Berglund of Webster City; Paula (Jeff) Peterson of South Elgin, IL; Cindy (Brian) Diehl of Humboldt; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Gerry (Linda) Abbott of Hampton; David (Kay) Abbott of NE; sister, Roma (Jack) Schlief of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the MOOSE Family Center both in Webster City. Linda enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and vegetable garden where she kept a journal of everything she grew to assist her in the next growing season.
