Kenneth "Ken" Neese, 89, long time Webster City resident, passed away at the Van Diest Medical Center, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Kenneth Dean Neese was born on June 20, 1924 in Webster City, the son of Eli and Esther Olsen Neese. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1942. On June 2, 1946 he married Carol Gwendola Adams at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He took pride in serving his country in both theatres of World War II which included serving as a technical sergeant under the Army Intelligence Branch in Reykjavik, Iceland, primarily in cryptography. Ken made a career in the steel industry, buying and selling steel for various corporations in Iowa. Ken is survived by his wife, Gwen, his children, Ric, Mark, Jeff and Angie, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Stella. Ken was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He loved geneology and exploring his computer. Above all he enjoyed being surrounded by his family. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Eli and Esther, brothers, Wayne and Virgil, sisters, Eunice Bergman and Pearl Hoshaw, son, Kirk and daughter, Candace.
