J.R. Beavers

J.R. Beavers, 81, of Webster City, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. J.R. Beavers, son of Lester Dean and Mildred Sarah (Myers) Beavers was born in Woodland, Iowa on August 29, 1931. He graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1950. On February 15, 1957, he was united in marriage to Eva Marcella Lane. She preceded him in death in 2007. J.R. was a cement finisher and started his own paving company in Phoenix, AZ, that he operated for 40 years before moving to Webster City in 2010. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Ione (Dick) Owens, Madeline Wilson, Nancy Finck, Donna (Arnie) Kempf, Kay (Julie) Kline; his brothers; Chuck (Georganna) Beavers, Donald "Dick" (Jeri) Beavers, Lyle Beavers, Jerry (Judy) Beavers, Melvin (Sue) Beavers; two step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. J.R. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eva, his step-daughter Marquita Lich, and his brother, Rex Dean Beavers.
