Howard Worrick, 60, of Webster City, died suddenly Thursday, June 14, 2012 while fishing at Devil's Lake, North Dakota. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster Chapel, with Pastor Matt Sprague officiating. Burial will be in the Saratoga Cemetery, south of Webster City. Visitation will be held at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191 and V.F.W. Post # 1856 of Fort Dodge. Howard Dale Worrick, son of Bernard and Gertrude Richards Worrick, was born August 19, 1951 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City school system. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army - 101st Airborne Division. On January 26, 1973, he married Charlene Lynn Kunz at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. He had been employed at the United States Postal Service - Des Moines, for over 25 years. He retired in September of 2011. Mr. Worrick is survived by his wife, Charlene; daughter, Sherri Westbrook of Webster City; Chad Worrick of Webster City; Scott Worrick of Fort Dodge; seven grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Richard Hadaway of Stanhope; Connie and Rodney Claude of DeWitt; several nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Pearl Worrick and Louise Strebel; brothers, Robert and Herbert Worrick. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.
