A Memorial Mass for Helen Murphy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Fr. Stephen Meyers, celebrant. Mrs. Murphy died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Crestview Senior Living. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Helen Arlene Albers, daughter of Albert and Hazel Ward Albers, was born September 25, 1922 at Iowa Falls. She graduated from Alden High school. On April 9, 1942, she married Robert Michael Murphy at Iowa Falls. The couple farmed north of Williams. In 1957, they moved to Webster City. For several years, she was employed as secretary in elementary schools in Webster City. Mr. Murphy died December 10, 2003. Mrs. Murphy is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marjorie Murphy of Webster City; daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Gene Carbone of Los Angeles, CA; Mary and Lynn Crystal and Jean and Kurt Miller, all of Webster City; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Craig Froning of Eldora; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Russell Albers and sister, Carol Foster. Helen was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
