Harold Olmstead, 78, of Webster City, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Private family services will be held at a later date. Harold C. Olmstead, son of Ralph and Margaret Myers Olmstead, was born December 28, 1935 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1954. Harold served his country in the National Guard. He was a mechanic and school bus driver for the Webster City School system for 31 years, retiring in the spring of 2011. Harold always said his favorite part of his job was taking the school sports teams to their events. He is survived by his children, Terry Martin of Webster City, Kevin Olmstead of Ottumwa and Jon Olmstead of Webster City; grandchildren, Nathan Olmstead, Nick Olmstead, Abby Steelman and Brad Martin; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Ayla Martin, Willey and Vanessa Steelman and Avery and Lillie Olmstead. Harold enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, collecting watches, going to car shows and taking care of his car.
