Glenn Caquelin, 81, of Webster City, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel, with Pastor Dot Hasler and Gina Spohnheimer officiating. Burial will be in the French Cemetery, east of Woolstock at a later date. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday. Glenn Eldon Caquelin, son of Alvin and Helen Doughty Caquelin, was born November 7, 1930 at Woolstock. He graduated from Woolstock Public School in 1948. On June 26, 1949, he married Delores Ione Orr at Woolstock. The couple resided at Woolstock, Eagle Grove, Humboldt, Fort Dodge, Duncombe and Webster City. He owned and operated Caquelin Trucking and retired from Crouse Cartage Company. He had resided at Crestview Senior Living for the past year. Glenn is survived by his wife, Ione; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Mike) Engleman of Mason City; Glenda (David) Smith of Custer, SD; Dixie (Doug) Filmer of Lake City; son and daughter-in-law, Steven (Teri) Caquelin of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Harold Middleton and Alvin and Florence Caquelin; grandchildren, Jessica Engleman and Justin Smith. Glenn was a member of the Duncombe United Methodist Church; former Eagle Grove Jaycees member; Fort Dodge Noon Lions Club; Fort Dodge Eagles; Quiet Birdman; Experimental Aircraft Association and Friends of Ban De La Roche at Woolstock.
