Gary Baker, Sr, 75, of Webster City died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Dave Simonson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Fosters. Gary Lee Baker, Sr., son of John and Leona (Faye) McFarland Baker, was born July 24, 1937 in Hamilton County. He attended school in the Webster City area. On August 15, 1958 he married Ethel N. Dunn at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. Gary worked for Seneca Foundry for 43 years, retiring in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ethel, of 54 years; children, Gary (Jackie) Baker Jr. of Stanhope; Jackie (Rick) Weiss of Webster City; Janice (Bruce) Park of Webster City; Julie (Dennis) Washington of Hope, Ark.; Jodi (Rusty) Clabaugh of Webster City; grandchildren, Nicole Baker, Justin Frye, Jeremy Frye, Jacob Frye, Stephanie Arnold, Christina Park, Ashley Gulley, Cody Washington, Andrew Washington, Jacob Clabaugh and Tucker Clabaugh; two great-grandchildren, Braeden and Emma Arnold; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Darwin Baker and John Baker Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Siders and Anna Mae Caruth. Gary enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, stock car races, and most of all attending his grandchildren's activities.
