Evelyn Elliott

Evelyn Elliott, 73, of Webster City, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Chapel, with Amy Delanoit officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Evelyn Lucille Xanders, daughter of Ed and Sarah Dutcher Xanders, was born August 29, 1938 at Clarion. She graduated from Clarion high school. She married Leo Toftee and later was divorced. On April 14, 1978, she married Ronald Gene Elliott at the Christian Life Center in Webster City. She worked as a nursing assistant at Crestview Senior Living and Southfield Wellness Center, and also was a baker at the I-35 Truck Stop. She retired in 1997. She is survived by her husband, Ron; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Ramona Toftee of Palmdale, CA; grandchildren, Missy and Nicole Toftee; great-granddaughters, Emily and Abigail Courson; step-granddaughters, Christina and Adel Gonzelz; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Toftee; her parents; and sister, Erma Ford. She attended Generation Adult Day Services at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.
