Eleanor Vulgamott, 78, of Webster City, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastors Mike Kroona and Tony Ede officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Eleanor Mae Carlson, daughter of Selmer and Stella (Wolfs) Carlson, was born August 4, 1934 in Leland, Iowa. She graduated from Forest City High School and received her teaching certificate from Waldorf College, teaching in Dows Schools for 3 years. On April 11, 1959, she was united in marriage to Clifford Ray Vulgamott at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leland. They made their home in Webster City. She worked in many retail stores in Webster City. Eleanor was a wife first and foremost, cherishing all 51 years of her marriage to Clifford. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2010. She is survived by her children; Shari Vulgamott of Webster City, Steve (Pat) Vulgamott of Coralville; grandchildren; Erin (Joe) Powell, Niki (John) Baxter and Hali Vulgamott; great-grandchildren; Hayden and Leah Baxter; siblings; Ruth (Warren) Feldick of Buffalo Center, Joyce (Duane) Aske of Ames and Luther Carlson of Marshalltown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Frances Bienert and Muriel, in infancy. Eleanor was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
