Edna Leeper

Shirley Leeper, 93, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Scott Hatton officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Edna Shirley Newman, daughter of Roy and Nellie Caquelin Newman was born on November 10, 1920 in Woolstock Township. She attended Webster City schools. She married Marion Leeper on July 5, 1941 in Mound City, MO. The couple lived in Webster City for 34 years before moving to Kamrar. Following Marion's death on January 12, 1993, Shirley returned to Webster City, later moving to Fort Dodge. Shirley is survived by her children, Margaret and Delbert Fiebiger of Fort Dodge; Roy and Marlene Leeper of Webster City; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Larry Newman of Maryland; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Mamie Newman and three brothers, Roy, Stanley and Bob Newman.
