Earl Warren Sr., 90, of Webster City, died Monday, October 20, 2014 in Clive. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Flagg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191. Earl Eugene Warren Sr, son of P.C. and Beulah Sears Warren, was born January 16, 1924 in Allerton. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942. Earl served in the U.S. Navy as a gunners mate on a tug boat in the Atlantic Ocean from 1942 until 1946, during WWII. He married Shirley Mae Inks on May 4, 1947 in Webster City. She preceded him in death on June 16, 1966. He owned and operated Warren Super Services station from 1948 until 1975. He continued to work at Mordick's Service, Handy Shop convenience store and Vantec. Earl is survived by son, Earl Warren Jr. of Fort Dodge; daughter-in-law, Linda Warren of Des Moines; grandson, Steven (Heidi) Warren of Ankeny; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Warren of Ankeny; sisters, Myrna Inman of Marshalltown, Cleva Ulrich of Omaha, NE, and Della Hisler of Sioux City. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Joel; brothers, Delbert, Chester, Leon, Clone; sisters, Donna Warren, Kay Warren, Emma Johnson, Sharon May and Neva Rowley.
