Dorothy Marie Jansen, 81, of Williams, died Monday, November 5, 2012 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Blairsburg, Iowa with Pastor John Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Blairsburg Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Dorothy Marie Clabaugh, daughter of Charles and Goldie Monson Clabaugh was born on November 10, 1930 in Stanhope, Iowa. Dorothy graduated from Kamrar High School. On March 2, 1952 she married Luverne G Jansen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple resided and farmed north of Blairsburg until Luverne retired in 1991. They then moved to the town of Williams. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed embroidering and quilting. She was a long-time member of the AYN Club of rural Blairsburg and recently the Thursday Tea Club of Williams. Her granddaughters and great granddaughter were the light of her life and very special to her. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Luverne of Williams; daughter, Karen Hunt of Ames; granddaughters, Amanda Hunt of Ankeny; Dana Hunt of Ames; and a great granddaughter; brother Don (Fern) Clabaugh of Stanhope; sister, Diane (Ron) Miller of West Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Doris Hayes.
