Dennis Newman

Dennis Newman., 56, of Webster City, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with military rites at 7:00 p.m. Dennis Duane Newman, son of Robert and Thelma Roe Newman, was born July 31, 1960, at Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School. Dennis married Yi Kyong Im on May 13, 1982 in Korea. He served in the United States Army. Dennis was employed at various places over the years including, Swede Construction, Frigidaire, Lamperts, Iowa Tank Lines, and currently with Buxton Farms and Frye's Tree Service. Dennis is survived by his wife, Kyong of Webster City; children, Tilda Newman of Webster City, Sue (Will Mourlam) Newman of Webster City, Emily (Tyler Schutt) Newman of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren; mother, Thelma Newman of Webster City; siblings, Jerry Newman, Jeffrey (Becky) Newman, Wesley Newman, Michael (Hyon "Honey") Newman and Christopher (Kathleen) Newman, all of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Paul Newman. Dennis enjoyed working on vehicles, hunting pheasants, riding his motorcycle and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
