Christopher J. Schrad, 29, of Webster City died in a motorcycle accident near Gary, Indiana on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September. 13, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City, with Rev. Stephen Meyer and Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center Monday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service at the church. Christopher James Schrad, son of Craig and Kristi Kutz Schrad, was born October 19, 1981 at Lake City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 2000. He worked many years with Neil Bromm Masonry & Concrete. Five years ago he opened his own business, Schrad Masonry & Concrete. Survivors include his parents, Craig and Kristi; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Amanda Schrad of Flandreau, SD; niece, Reagan Schrad of Flandreau, SD; fiancée, Shelly Pierce of Webster City; fiancées parents, Tom and Irene Pierce of Volga, SD; grandmothers, Ruth Schrad of Auburn and Dolores Kutz of Lake City, and several aunts, uncles and many friends. Chris was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Kutz and Lloyd Schrad. He was a member of Iron Butt Association, Pheasants Forever, and the Webster City Moose Family Center #735.
