Charles R. Stauduhar, 82, of Webster City, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at Southfield Wellness Community. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday starting at 5:00 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. scripture service at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center. Charles Raymond Stauduhar was born on August 15, 1929 in Rock Island, IL to Thomas K. and Dorothy E. (Janssen) Stauduhar. He attended Rock Island schools graduating in 1947. He then attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon and Western State University in Arizona receiving a doctorate in Philosphy with valuation science, business administration and appraisal technology. On June 7, 1952, he married Joan Weber at Galva, IL. The couple lived in Rock Island until 1975 when they moved to Webster City. Charles owned and operated a construction and appraisal business. He also taught technical valuations of appraisal. He also wrote and published "Appraising" Technical Cost of House and Valuations. He loved to collect antiques and fish. Charles is survived by wife, Joan; daughter, Cathy Cramer of Webster City; grandchildren, Justin David Cramer and great grandson, Jakob Dylan of Pomeroy, IA; Aaron Michael Cramer and Caitlyn Nicole Cramer, both of Webster City. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, brother, George Thomas Stauduhar and sister, Elizabeth Ann Jackson. Charles was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and past member of the American Society of Appraisers.
