Bob Hild, 82, of Webster City, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Revs. Mike Kroona and Tony Ede officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Bobby Ellis Hild, son of Warren and Christine Messerschmitt Hild, was born September 19, 1928 at Ottumwa, Iowa. He receive his education in the Farson Public School. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alabama and Japan. On February 11, 1951, he married Ramona Moyer at Ottumwa. Following his discharge, the couple farmed in the Hedrick area for 2 years. In 1956, they moved to a farm east of Webster City. Bob is survived by his wife, Ramona; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Nancy Hild of Webster City, Tim and Nancy Hild of Telluride, CO; grandchildren, Charlie, Lucas, Jessie, Tanner, Zak and Makenzie Hild; sister, Betty Moore of Arizona; several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lytle. Mr. Hild was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, various committees of his church, Hamilton County Saddle Club, he had his private pilots license and enjoyed flying, he was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association; the Two Cylinder Club, served on the Hamilton County Pork and Beef Boards, served on the Cooperative board, Bob and Mark were both Master Pork Producers in 1982 and was a 4-H leader for several years.
