Beverly Olson

Beverly Olson, 81, of Webster City, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Beverly Jean Songer, the daughter of Donald and Ethel Raven Songer was born on April 14, 1934 in Williams. She graduated from Lincoln High in 1952. She married Charles Wayne Dutcher on Febuary 8, 1953 in Webster City. To this union two daughters were born. The couple later divorced. Bev married Luther Olson on March 31, 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD. Bev worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for 30 years retiring in 1985. Bev is survived by her husband of 37 years, Luther of Webster City; children, Teresa (Mark Ferguson) Bergeson of Webster City, Connie (Paul) Tolle of Webster City, Daniel Olson of Altoona, Kristine (Dan) Coffin of Plymouth, MN; five grandchildren, Ryan (Jenny) Bergeson of Memphis, MO, Chelsea Tolle of Burlington, Eric Tolle of Ankeny, Logan Olson of Minneapolis, MN, Hannah Olson of Kirksville, MO; siblings, Donald (Shirley) Songer of Apple Valley, CA, Shirley Trusty of Webster City, Gary Songer of Yerington, NV, Ronald (Barbara) Songer of Denison; brother-in-law, Alfred Mechaelsen of Kamrar and many nieces and nephews. Bev was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Olson and sister, Kay Mechaelsen. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bev was active with the project day, the church circle, the Quilt Patch, the '52 Lunch and enjoyed square dancing. Memorials may be left for Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of Bev.
