Audrey Warland, 86, of Webster City, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City, with Revs. Mike Kroona and Kari Foss, officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to service at the church. Audrey Jean Harridge, daughter of William and Clarice Smith Harridge was born on December 7, 1927 in Polk County. She graduated from Mitchellville High School in 1945. She married Garwin "G.D." Warland on November 12, 1950 at the former English Lutheran Church in Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. Audrey worked as a police dispatcher and then a secretary at the Hamilton County Landfill. G.D. preceded her in death on July 30, 2003. Audrey is survived by her children, Greg (Jeanne) Warland of Lincoln, NE and Shelley (Michael) Reese of Waterloo; grandchildren, Lucas, Seth, Zeke and Levi Roberts; Brian Reese, Amanda Lloyd, Daniel and Laura Eddy; Ashleigh Topolski and Courtney Warland; several great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Vosberg of Manson; brother, Gary Roberts of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cynthia Eddy in 1982, son, Randy Roberts in 2013 and brother, Robert Harridge. Audrey was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, served 12 years on the city council and was the Mayor of Webster City for several years.
