Alice Mcguire

Alice McGuire, 89, of Webster City died Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Van Diest Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Anchor Point Baptist Church, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with serving the family.
Alice Rebecca Phillips, daughter of Ernest and Martha (Lafarcard), was born July 30, 1935 in Antioch, California. She graduated from Antioch High School. On November 21, 1955. Alice was united in marriage to Lionel Elmer McGuire in California. She worked for many years in the kitchen at Hamilton Hospital and Van Diest Medical Center, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed baking cookies and putting together puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Peter of Los Angeles, CA, Cathy McGuire of Webster City; son, David (Sheila) McGuire of Webster City; grandchildren, Lori Archer, Saundra McGuire, Megan Peek, Josh McGuire, Zack McGuire, Dustin Spellmeyer, Daniel Peter; great-grandchildren, Calysta, Xayden, David, Mackenzie, James, Matthew, Zackery Jr., Clemintine, Landon, Kaleb, Brianna and Dominic and sister, Penny Mills of Antioch, CA.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel; her parents; daughter, Debbie Spellmeyer; sisters, Pearl Betz, Gladys Philips and brother, Ernie Phillips.
