Liz Weieneth, 75, of Webster City died Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May,16, 2024 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. A Celebration will immediately follow at the Webster City Links.
Elizabeth Mae McNelly, daughter of Chester and Helen (Conradi) McNelly, was born December 21,1948 in Anoka, Minnesota. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1967. She received her associate degree in nursing from Iowa Central Community College. On August 3, 1968, Liz was united in marriage to Thomas Layne Kesler. To this union three children were born. Tom passed away in 1988. On May 16,1992 Liz married David J. Weieneth in New Orleans. She worked for 26 years at the Webster City Medical Clinic.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dave; son, Layne (Beatriz) Kesler of Oakland, CA; daughters, Dawn (Jenny Roe) Kesler, Kathryn (Eric) Anderson both of Webster City; grandchildren, Kathryn and Jackson Kesler, Ethan, Owen and Emmet Anderson; sister, Mary Burtnett of Webster City, Sarah (Terry) McNelly of Webster City; and brother, Donald (Paris) McNelly of Webster City.
Liz was preceded in death by first husband, Tom; her parents; sister, Jerre Salzer; brother, Chet McNelly; in-laws, Mary and Wes Wilcox, Charlie and Verna Weieneth.
